Bryn Chainey

Bryn Chainey is a British-Australian filmmaker.

With a fascination for mythology, nature, and obsolete technology, Bryn creates intensely tactile, genre-bending films full of yearning, mystery, and atmosphere.

His debut feature - Rabbit Trap, produced by Elijah Wood and starring Dev Patel - premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival and was distributed worldwide by Focus Features.

Beyond directing, Bryn has worked as a script consultant, video editor, and educator. He is also the co-founder of Pustnik, a non-profit screenwriting residency that takes place annually in rural Romania.
